MONITORING

The Jefferson County Workforce Development department serves as a conduit for funding WIA and related programs. One of the duties of this organization is to ensure that agencies receiving such funds administer and conduct the programs and activities stated in their proposals and /or plans of action. The program monitor is charged with the task of conducting desk and on-site reviews to make sure funded agencies (programs) are on track with their stated goals and objectives.

Monitoring responsibilities include a systemic, periodic and objective review of WIA management systems to ensure compliance with the act, WIA regulations, Governor’s Employment Training Directives, WIA training plans, grant and sub-grant agreements and policies; and other federal and state contractual agreements funded by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
